Out and About

The Penn House Estate occupies a pivotal space between three popular towns, Amersham, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe and offers miles of peaceful walking and riding routes through some of the prettiest countryside in the Chilterns. We are always delighted to welcome walkers and riders to the Estate to use the wide network of public footpaths and bridleways (and we have even created some permissive footpaths and horse-riding paths to better link the existing routes).

On Foot

The Estate is crossed by a number of Public Footpaths which connect to the wider area and we have also created several Permissive footpaths to offer better connections and create circular walks from Winchmore Hill and our Car Park near Church Knowl. We have taken great care to mark the routes and as mobile connectivity allows will be looking to put in place QR codes for easy geographic identification. Click on the images of the maps below and you can download a detailed .pdf showing detailed plans to help you explore this beautiful area.

Please remember that Footpaths are only for those on foot or using mobility scooters or powered wheelchairs. Cyclists must keep to Public Bridleways or Roads.

On Horseback

The beautiful Estate woodlands and open vistas offer the chance to ride in almost complete serenity and so to allow riders to better access the Estate we have created two Permissive Horse Paths which are reserved exclusively for horse riding and connect to local Public Bridleways.
